NEIL L. McNINCH

MS, RN, PSTAT ®

Owner & Principal Biostatistician

It has always been my great joy to help others. For years I was able to do that by providing hands on care as a Registered Nurse. In more recent years I've had the privilege of helping people on a grander scale through my work as a Biostatistician. By collaborating with and supporting investigators throughout the entire research process I've had the opportunity to contribute to science via multiple peer reviewed publications.

If you are looking for someone who is fluent in the languages of healthcare, statistics and clinical research then McNinch Biostats, LLC may be the place to find your next research partner.

I POSSESS THE EXPERTISE, LEADERSHIP AND MOTIVATION necessary to carry out innovative medical research. This is demonstrated by and supported through my broad, extensive background in biostatistics and medicine with specific training and knowledge of key research aspects (such as study design, data management, statistical analysis and interpretation as well as comprehensive reporting of study findings). In addition to proficiency in parametric and non-parametric testing used regularly in retrospective and prospective observational studies, my work is continually expanding to encompass more sophisticated study designs (clinical trials), incorporating methodology such as repeated measures factorial analysis, generalized estimating equations, multivariate regression analysis, longitudinal analysis, time series (segmented regression) analysis and survival analysis as well as bootstrap resampling methods.

I’ve collaborated successfully with multi-disciplinary researchers on observational and interventional studies, with human and animal subjects as well as simulated experiments, and been instrumental in preparing several manuscripts, published in esteemed peer-reviewed publications. Because of such collaborations, I continue to refine effective native oral and written communication skills and am keenly aware of the need for frequent and effective communication among project team members to develop a realistic analytical plan and timeline as well as meaningful dissemination of results and their clinical impact.

The combination of my clinical experience as a Registered Nurse and accomplishments as a Biostatistician place me in a unique position to provide relevant and compelling interpretations of the analytical results as they relate back to the research aims, thus providing a comprehensive and nuanced report of the study results suitable for dissemination and often containing interpretations for clinical relevance of unexpected results.

In summary, I have a proven track record of accomplished and productive research project contributions in areas of high relevance such as neonatal and pediatric intensive care, as well as palliative care, psychiatry, ophthalmology, nephrology, pulmonology, emergency medicine and nursing. My expertise and experience have prepared me to make significant contributions to original research in any medical setting.
